  1. Rejuvenating Rosehip Facial Oil

    A rejuvenating facial oil for normal, dry and mature skins.

     

     

    You will need:

     

    8g cocoa butter

    80ml rosehip seed oil

    10g vitamin E oil

    5 drops geranium essential oil

    5 drops rosewood essential oil

     

     

    Method:

     

    Melt the cocoa butter in a double boiler or bain marie. Add the rosehip seed oil and stir well to combine. Remove from the heat, add the vitamin E oil and essential oils and stir thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a dark glass bottle.

  2. Regenerating Facial Oil

    This regenerating oil is suitable for all skin types, particularly problem and mature skins, and is quick and easy to make.

     

    You will need:

     

    35ml rosehip oil

    20ml black raspberry seed oil

    25ml evening primrose oil

    20ml vitamin E oil

    10 drops essential oil to suit skin type

     

    Method:

     

    Simply pour the oils into a clean, glass bottle and shake to mix. Add the essential oils and shake again.

  3. Orange Flower Skin Cream

    Orange flower water is toning and refreshing, and can be used on its own as a skin freshener to accompany this light cream for normal to sensitive skins.

     

     

    You will need:

     

    1ml borax

    62ml orange flower water

    15ml grated beeswax

    100ml apricot kernel oil

    20ml jojoba oil

    15ml carrot oil

     

     

    Method:

     

    Mix the borax into the orange flower water. Heat the beeswax and oils together in a double boiler or bain marie until the beeswax is melted. Meantime, heat the orange flower water and borax solution. Heat both mixtures until their temperatures have reached 75 degrees C. Gradually whisk the flower water into the heated oils. Keep the mixture on the heat for a further five minutes and whisk continuously. This helps to emulsify the ingredients. Remove from the heat and whisk continuously until the cream has cooled. Spoon the cream into a clean jar.

  4. Rosewater and Glycerine Night Lotion

    This is a simple recipe for an effective night treatment lotion. Lemon juice contains citric acid and has a natural AHA effect on the skin. Rosewater and glycerine are soothing and softening, and avocado oil is an emollient particularly suited to dry skin. If desired, you can replace the avocado oil with the plant oil of your choice. Almond oil, apricot kernel oil, peach kernel oil, camellia oil and olive oil all work well in this recipe.

     

     

    You will need:

     

    2.5ml rosewater

    2.5ml glycerine

    2.5ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

    2.5ml avocado oil

     

     

    Method:

     

    Pour all the ingredients into a dark glass bottle and shake well to combine. Store in the refrigerator and shake before each use.

     

     

    To use:

     

    Apply a few drops to cleansed and toned face and neck at bedtime.

  5. Facial Oil - Oily Skin

    Even oily skin needs nourishment. This light facial oil contains ingredients that are easily absorbed, do not block pores and have a balancing effect on sebum production.

     

     

    You will need:

     

    5ml grapeseed oil

    5ml hazelnut oil

    5ml jojoba oil

    1ml carrot seed oil

    3 drops rosemary essential oil

    3 drops lavender essential oil

    2 drops geranium essential oil

    2 drops basil essential oil

     

     

    Method:

     

    Drop the carrot seed, rosemary, lavender, basil and geranium essential oils into a dark glass bottle. Add the grapeseed, hazelnut and jojoba oils one at a time, shaking in between each addition.

     

     

    To use:

     

    Apply a few drops to the face and neck morning and evening after cleansing and toning. Use regularly for best results.
