  1. Simple Castile & Almond Face Wash

    Posted on

Here is an extremely simple and quick face wash. Handmade castile (olive oil) soap is one of the gentlest facial cleansers available. Almond powder is gently cleansing and exfoliating, and the addition of a small amount of sweet almond oil ensures that the paste is gentle, cleansing and moisturising.

Make this wash in small amounts as directed and store in the refrigerator, as there are no added preservatives.

    You will need:

30g finely grated castile soap (preferably handmade)
    30g ground almonds
    7ml sweet almond oil
    10 drops lavender essential oil.

    Method:

Weigh out all ingredients into a mixing bowl using an accurate scale. Combine all the ingredients thoroughly until you have a creamy, thick paste. Spoon the paste into a jar.

    To use:

Wet face and place a small amount of the face wash into the palm of your hand. Work into a lather and use to gently wash your face. Rinse and pat dry.
