Aloe Vera After-Sun Gel

Posted on

This after-sun gel cools the skin down quickly after overexposure to the sun. I have also used this successfully on minor burns and scalds.

You will need:

80ml spring water
2gr xanthan gum
2ml glycerine
10ml aloe vera concentrate
2ml vitamin E oil
10 drops preservative
15 drops lavender essential oil
10 drops chamomile german essential oil

To make:

Make the gel following the method for making gels. Add the chamomile and lavender essential oils once the gel has cooled. Allow to cool and pour into a clean bottle. To use: apply generously to burns or skin that has had too much sun. Reapply frequently for best results.
