We've had to disable the website template for the blog as it interferes with the text display and causes bits of it to disappear completely.

It's a bit rough and unvarnished looking, but hey ho...:)

Sesame Oil

INCI name: Sesamum Indicum

Sesame seeds containing up to 50% oil are taken from the plant, which is a herb grown in tropical climates. Sesame oil is high in oleic acid and keeps well.

It is used as a sunscreen oil and in sun creams/lotions, due to its ability to absorb ultra violet light. Sesame oil has been used for centuries in hair and skin care, as it is tolerated well by most skins, and can even be used as a base for treatment oils for the skin around the eyes.

This oil can be used as a sunscreen oil, carrier oil for massage, baby oil and general skin care oil.
