We've had to disable the website template for the blog as it interferes with the text display and causes bits of it to disappear completely.

It's a bit rough and unvarnished looking, but hey ho...:)

Malus sylvestris

Fresh apple pulp is toning and astringent on the skin and can be used in face masks, hand treatments and scrubs for sensitive or fair skin.

Mix apple pulp with just enough glycerine to form a smooth paste and use it to rub into rough skin areas such as elbows and knees. Leave the paste on for fifteen minutes before washing off – the skin will feel soothed and softened.

For a soothing, healing sunburn balm, add a little honey to the apple and glycerine paste and apply to reddened areas.

For a toning, tightening face mask, mix 60ml apple pulp and 15ml honey into one lightly beaten egg white. Apply to cleansed skin and leave on for fifteen minutes before rinsing off.
