We've had to disable the website template for the blog as it interferes with the text display and causes bits of it to disappear completely.

It's a bit rough and unvarnished looking, but hey ho...:)

Arctium Lappa

Burdock is a perennial plant whose roots, leaves and seeds can be used for acne, eczema, psoriasis, dryness and itchy skin. It grows wild in Europe and Asia and has been used for centuries in herbal folk remedies. Burdock is healing, cleansing, anti-inflammatory and demulcent.

A decoction can be made using burdock seeds and roots and used as a wash. Make the decoction using 30g dried Burdock root and 710ml spring water. Tincture of Burdock is made from the seeds to aid chronic skin conditions. The leaves can be applied as a compress to bruises and inflammations of the skin.
