We've had to disable the website template for the blog as it interferes with the text display and causes bits of it to disappear completely.

It's a bit rough and unvarnished looking, but hey ho...:)

Citrus limon

Lemon has been used since ancient times as an aid to herbal skin care due to its astringent and antibacterial qualities.

Fresh lemon peel added to the bath is a good skin softener, while the juice can be added to the final rinse water after shampooing hair. Lemon juice is a natural hair conditioner and helps to close the hair shaft, making the hair soft and shiny.

It can be diluted with water and used as an astringent for oily skin, and the neat juice can be applied to spots to help heal them. Lemon juice contains natural citric acid and can be combined with olive oil to make a facial night treatment for clarifying and moisturising skin.

Roughened heels and elbows will benefit by having a halved, squeezed lemon rubbed over them.
